They have a stunning explosion of appearances from the low growing psittacina to the impressive leucophylla.NATURE'S PEST CONTROL - Sarracenia attracts insects with a lovely patch of sweet nectar right at the base of the lid. Insects are drawn to this nectar and are encouraged by tiny downward facing hairs to move down into the pitcher. At some point the insect loses its footing and falls down the tube. At this point the bug slowly converted into plant food through digestion by enzymes and bacteria.
