Mellow flavor, never harsh or bitter, is best harvested at 5 - 7". It can grow along the ground until it finds something to grow up. Large leaves form canopies over the fruits. The fruits can get 2 feet long best if eaten at 5-7". It prefers to grow in full sun with something to grow up. Zones 3-9 Sow seeds 1/2" deep and lightly tamp down and cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic and keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination is in 7-20 days.
