2 GRAMS FLOXGLOVE DIGITALIS (WILD) FOREST 2024 SEEDS, PERENNIAL FLOWER, NON GMO
Why should you choose to buy your Foxglove seeds from us instead of someone else on eBay?Because these are fresh 2024 seeds hand harvested from the foxgloves we have grown in our yard. We have been growing these from a few selected plants we found in the backcountry of the Eldorado National Forest about ten years ago while hiking. They are especially tall usually ending at around 10-11 feet and do well in most areas I've placed them from full sun (as long as they have adequate water) to full shade. Naturally these plants are non gmo, they have been reseeding themselves in our yard for about 10 years from the original three plants I harvest seeds from, some are white, some purple to varying degrees, sometimes they exhibit the frilled patten on the edge of the flower as in one of the pictures, but not always. Approximately 5000 seeds? These seeds are very small, it's not possible to count out the seeds exactly, we measure them out with the tube and seal them in the envelope as pictured. It is about 25x more than you would get in a package from a store by comparison.Foxglove care, I have found is pretty simple. Sprinkle scatter the seeds onto loose prepared ground and water in, do not bury. The seeds are very small and will easily settle themselves in the soil. Provide them a good environment and they are hard to stop from proliferating. The first year, the plants will not flower, typically, sometimes but it's rare. On the second season of growing, you will get the big flower spike, and afterwards the plant will continue to regenerate year after year unless it gets sick from rot or destroyed by animals or other means, once established they are very hardy and naturally deer proof, they will not even nibble on them. I will be available to answer any questions you may have about growing, when you get your seeds, you can interact with me, and I can help you in the process. If you are planting outside, the plants love to be planted on the lee side of a tree or nearby an old stump, it provides a good place to shelter from being trampled while they get established and the roots of the foxgloves follow the already established roots of the tree and enable the plant grow better, its where I usually find them growing in the forest.
