Royal Catchfly Seeds (Silene Regia)
Royal Catchfly is a perennial flower to zones 3-9. It grows 3 1/2 to 4 feet tall. It develops bright red flowers that bloom July through August. It is called catch fly because little gnats and flies get stuck on the sticky seed pods behind the flower. Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to it. The seeds need 2 months of cold refrigeration to break dormancy. Best if planted outside in the fall or very early spring. It may take several years to reach its full potential. Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil and keep moist. Plant in full sun. Mature plants may need to be staked, as they grow quite tall. 15 seeds per pkt. Note: International orders will not have tracking. Please allow 30 days before contacting me to allow extra shipping time.
