COLUMBINE MCKANA GIANTS MIX seeds. Lots of colorful, interesting flowers. The Columbine is an easy plant to grow because it adapts itself to a wide variety of conditions. Columbines do best when they are grown in moist, rich, well-drained soil in light shade. These one- to three-foot-high plants generally begin blooming in early to mid-spring and will often continue through June if the flowers are removed as they fade. Columbines are one of a Hummingbird's favorite flowers and are excellent additions to the rock garden, or as a native woodland planting. They tend to cross-pollinate, hybridize and self-seed freely, creating new strains and colors.200+ Quality heirloom seeds. Thank You!Some American Native Wildflower seeds need to go through a cold winter to germinate. This plant is one of them. They do this so the seed won’t sprout in fall, only to have the seedling not make it through a cold winter. I have stratified these seeds to simulate a cold winter(stratification) This raises the germination rate considerably. Thanks for looking!!Aquilegia caerulea. Perennial.Full sun / P.
