This is Contractor's Mix Grass Seed which is a blend of Kentucky 31 Fescue and Annual Ryegrass It is 75% Kentucky 31 and 25% Annual Ryegrass. This high quality quick germinating blend of seed is very hardy and germinates very rapidly. It is adapted to many soils including sand, silt, loam and clay. It is a deep rooted grass and once established, it will thrive for years to come with proper maintenance of water and fertilizer. Those are the only two ingredients that will make this grass flourish in your yard or pasture. For best results, broadcast at the rate of 10 lbs per 1000 sq ft. in lawns and 50 lbs per acre in pastures. Plant in either Spring or Fall. February is a great month to begin planting and let the freezing and thawing effect work your seed into the ground for quick germination when soil temperatures warm in early Spring. When established, it makes a thick lush carpet of grass in your lawn or pasture. The bags shown in the picture are 50 lb bulk bags. We repackage the bulk seed into 5, 10, and 25 lb bags. If you didn't get your seed planted in the Spring or Fall you may want to consider planting from now through February. Late Fall and Winter Seeding are fine for this seed. If it's too cold to germinate now, it will lay dormant and work it's way into the ground by the freezing and thawing effect. Then, it early Spring when soil temperatures are warmer, it will jump out of the ground and start growing. I have had great success with planting in Winter. ANY AREAS OUTSIDE THE 48 CONTIGUOUS STATES WILL INCUR ADDITIONAL SHIPPING FEES INCLUDING HAWAII, ALASKA, PUERTO RICO OR ANY OTHER AREA OUTSIDE THE 48 CONTIGUOUS STATES.
