Up for sale is ONE rhizome or bare roots from my backyard Black bamboo plants. This per order for $19.50, so each rhizome is only $19.99 ! Best starting price to try your hand at growing this EXOTIC bamboo! If you are buying 2 or more packs. You will get more quantity discount ! My responsibility is guaranteed to have the rhizome(s) delivered to you in promised time and in healthy and live conditions. How you plant and nurture your bamboo afterward is far beyond my control, therefore I do not pledge or promise the rhizome growth or timeline that it grows. All claim for non delivery must be made within 3 working days past USPS scheduled delivery. Each root is 5- 6" actual linear inches (including all branching) + or - long, fresh and bearing shoots or growths as pictured. Generally I do not send you rhizomes with green leaves since that is considered a full plant, and some states do not allow plants incoming. You are getting 1 rhizome in total. All roots have been cleaned and disinfected with special formulated root growing solution twice to inhibit/kill insects and bacteria also encourage roots transplanting. I have sold hundreds of this in past 2 years, due to medical reason I may have to stop digging and selling them after this year. Guarantee LIVE arrival and delivery. But success in transplanting this bamboo is in the hands of you. Therefore it is not guarantee that this will grow on all weather, soils and other conditions. you have to be patient as this black bamboo is slow to adapt to new environment. In case USPS fails to deliver within the allowed time frame I will re-ship the order to you. The SAYING ABOUT BAMBOO : first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps and the third year it leaps. The roots takes time to establish, so the first year's growth is limited to the subsoil roots system. A year after, the new shoot may grow to 1" diameter and 2' tall. Speed of growth varies pending many variables. DO NOT expect seeing any growth in weeks, this is slow growing type and NOT your LUCKY bamboo (which is not true bamboo). Simple planting instruction included here with each order. However, due to various climate zone and soil types, I advise the buyer to follow local planting conditions. It will be well packed wet with minimal soil and wrapped in paper then in plastic bag or ziplock. General guideline for planting black bamboo rhizomes: Do not let roots dried out. NEVER Best time to plant this is Spring, Summer when the soil is warm. Summer is fine to plant too, make sure you do not let the roots dried out.. Do not fertilize and do not over water in the first month (just keep it moist). Do not let roots dried out after you receive them soak in distilled water if you can not plant them in 2 days. Plant them in soil as soon as you possibly can. Find a PARTIAL sunny spot that has 4 to 6 hours of sun to be your new planting area. Plant your Black Bamboo rhizomes/roots about 3" deep under good compose soil (not hard) in semi sunny area. Space the rhizomes at least 6 inches apart in planting. Same guideline applies with planting in pot. Please make sure the pot is at least 18" wide.
