There is no difference between screws don't worry about interchanging wires on them. Can convert previous 1 way lamp to 3 way socket, just switch bulbs to 3 way after install. Press inner socket firmly into place in the earlier removed housing, screws with wire must be pressed all the way inside and should not be showing, then push housing and socket back into place on the original base that it was earlier removed from.
