I ship all plants BARE ROOT, meaning your plants will be freshly dug the morning I send to you, wrapped in wet toweling, then placed in plastic zip bags for shipping. Woodland Fern A freely running, deciduous fern. It spreads freely and stays low to the ground, usually not more than 12-18". Grows well in Shade, Part Sun, or full sun if the soil is moist and has good drainage. Very effective as groundcover, and beautiful as a border around building. This fern grows and travels by rhizome like runners underground, that are thin and twig like. This is a wild fern growing in my woodlands and around my ponds. I do not know the exact species, but it is a very sweet lower growing fern great for borders and woodland settings.
