51+LUPINE RUSSELL MIX Seeds Native Wildflower Pollinators Cut Flowers Perennial
RUSSELL LUPINE MIX. This is a strain of lupine developed in the 1920's by George Russell, who was honored by the Royal Horticulture Society for his achievement. Easy to grow perennial that will tolerate some drought after established and doesn't mind a little shade. The plant is low lying and bushy, with star shaped 8" leaves. In early spring eye catching flower spikes grow up to 36" tall and bloom spring through early summer. The blooms are purples, pinks, whites and yellows. The colors vary from spike to spike, so no two blooms are exactly alike. The blooms make great long lasting cut flowers. Russell Lupines also do well in a good-sized container. Lupines do not transplant very well, so plant seeds in their permanent home. They have a life span of 3-5 years; they ware themselves out producing these giant flower stalks. They will spread through dropped seed. Thanks for stopping in.50+ Quality seeds per order.
