Can regrow the following spring if seed falls on bare ground. Tall spikes covered with spurred flowers in blue to purple, pink and white. Up to 3' tall. Blooms summer into fall. This wild delphinium needs plenty of moisture, yet the area must be well-drained. Delphinium originally lived in high meadows and mountain sides in Europe. The flower stalks of this species are mainstays in the dried flower trade, so you might want to dry some of yours for permanent arrangements.
