It interacts with target insects’ digestive enzymes to activate the active ingredient indoxacarb once ingested, leaving non-target organisms largely unaffected. Indoxacarb delays mortality and encourages feeding activity among worker ants, who then carry the bait back to the colony. The bait is quickly passed to other ants within the nest via horizontal transfer, including the queen and larvae, for complete colony control. The press-and-go Advion Ant gel stations can be used indoors and outdoors (around perimeter of structures, protected. This easy-to-use station is instantly activated by snapping off the top tab and squeezing the gel capsule. The gel bait remains contained within the station, where ants will readily feed.
