ASTM 316L Stainless Steel is the best and most expensive in its class for heat exchangers. Do not settle for 304 Steel as it has lower life expectancy, less corrosion resistance and lower performance ratings. 2. Always consider the plate size. The larger the surface, the more heat can be transferred from one fluid to another. 12" x 4 1/4" is the biggest plate size in its class. 3. Always consider the inlet sizes. 1" inlets assure the sufficient amount of GPM (Gallons Per Minute) flow and allow for best performance of the system. 4. See who you are buying from.
