On his way he became ill and was lucky that his path crossed with a monk carrying this special tea. The scholar went on to take and get the highest marks on his exam and was draped in the Imperial Red Robe. This tea also goes by the name of the Big Red Robe. This tea comes from the Wuyi Mountains in the Fujian Provence of China. The leaves are long and slightly twisted with a burnished brown color. The flavor is complex honey-floral (orchid) flavor with a lingering sweet aftertaste.
