Heavy Duty Metal Shelf Brackets - L Shaped
Raw Steel Shelf BracketsHandmade in the USA These brackets are crafted in our small shop in Wisconsin. We proudly make them on American made equipment and from American made steel! This listing is for one bracket, please be sure to select the correct quantity that you wish to order. Brackets are made from 1 1/2" x 1/4" steel. Sharp edges have been removed. You can choose to receive your brackets in unfinished raw metal or have them finished in a durable clear coat enamel finish. This finish protects the bracket from oxidizing as well as preserving the raw metal/rustic appearance. The amount of weight your shelf brackets will hold depends on the quality of the installation. Your shelf brackets will always be strongest when attached directly to wall studs. If you have any questions regarding installation or how much weight your shelves can hold, please contact a qualified contractor. -Please be sure to order in the depth that is the closest to your actual shelf size without going over. Also remember that todays conventional lumber is measured in nominal size. Examples- A modern 2" x 4" board will actually measure 1.5" x 3.5" this would require 3.5" brackets.A modern 2" x 6" board will actually measure 1.5" x 5.5" this would require 5.5" brackets.A modern 2" x 8" board will actually measure 1.5" x 7.25" this would require 7.25" brackets.A modern 2" x 10" board will actually measure 1.5" x 9.25" this would require 9.25" brackets.A modern 2" x 12" board will actually measure 1.5" x11.25" this would require 11.25" brackets. All of our L brackets are made slightly under the listed measurement to allow the shelf to extend slightly beyond the bracket. We recommend two brackets for 36" and under shelves. Three brackets for 36" to 66" shelvesFour brackets for 67" to 96" shelves
