This cutterhead fits the following Delta planers:22-650 Each head features 4 rows of cutters for a total of ~65.Each cutter, or carbide insert in size of 15mmX15mmX2.5mm, is solid carbide andwill outlast your steel knives by a good margin. Each insert also has fourcutting sides so just rotate the one side that gets dull and your are ready toplane again. The advantages a spiral cutterhead offers include: Chip outs largely eliminated Extremely noise reduction Long lasting cutter life No sharpening Easy replacement of cutters and no alignment required The last picture is an example of a planed lumber surface through a spiral cutterhead.
